There’s nothing here. Except…
Someone handed you a card, or an email landed in your inbox, and the domain read like a question. Most people never type it into the bar. You did.
I’m Richard. My legal first name, a compromise my parents made. I’ve been Sean every day since. Nobody who knows me has ever called me Richard — so if that’s what you’re calling me, we haven’t met yet. Sean Buckman. I started on an ambulance at seventeen, made paramedic at twenty, and had my own ambulance company by twenty-eight. Over the next three decades I built, bought, and merged a long list of companies. The last few years I have spent doing the harder thing, which is letting most of them go.
What is left is short on purpose. Five things, run deliberately, in healthcare, EMS, and real estate.
HealthFleet Ambulance
OperatingEmergency and non-emergency medical transport out of Philadelphia. Started as an add-on to Lackawanna Ambulance; I sold Lackawanna and kept this piece — the leftover grew into the best of the bunch.
Trans-Med Ambulance
PartnershipMedical transport across Northeastern Pennsylvania, run as a partnership. Same trade, different footprint.
Pine Creek Recovery Center
In developmentAn inpatient treatment facility in the works. Currently in the land-use and zoning phase, building something the region actually needs rather than another idea on paper.
73103 Holdings, LLC
Real estateA real estate investment arm. Quiet by design, patient by preference.
RSBuckman Enterprises, Inc.
ParentThe holding company the rest of it hangs from. Healthcare, EMS, and real estate under one roof.
Lackawanna Ambulance
Wayne Ambulance
Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Ellen Memorial Healthcare Center
Built, run, and handed on in good shape. They were worth the years.

Anyone who builds enough of them loses a few. The trick is to learn more than you lose.
I incorporated PaPolitics.com in November 1996, at 26. For reference, google.com wasn’t registered until the following September. My dead little startup is older than Google’s domain name. Back then even McDonald’s didn’t own mcdonalds.com. A magazine writer grabbed it first, just to prove nobody was paying attention. The whole web had a few hundred thousand sites. I wasn’t wrong about the internet. I just got there before it did.
I got on the phone and offered a place on the internet to the offices of more than 150 state representatives and senators. Every last one passed. Not because the pitch was bad, but because in 1996 a website was the answer to a question none of them had thought to ask.
